“Due to a shifting landscape, PlayStation Home will cease publishing new content on the 12th of November, 2014. Gamers in Europe will be able to download content until the 3rd of December, 2014. As a token of our tremendous gratitude to the community, we will also be releasing a series of free content prior to the platforms closure on the 31st of March, 2015.”

The game itself is very simple to play and works much like the Konami penthouse dance game. Everyone gets 5 free plays before having to decide on making a purchase of a monster, or any of the packs for sale to continue. The continue part is suspect, currently there is only one mode of play which is one on one combat with another player in the space. There are issues with the game freezing while playing for some.
In order to start earning XP and complete LKWD Life objectives, you’ll need to complete tasks within any LKWD Life enabled space. This week, you’ll need to visit a friends’ Dream Yacht, Dream Yacht: Arctic Voyage or the Sunset Lounge to experience LKWD Life. Once there, you can earn XP and all available rewards even as a guest. If you don’t own a Dream Yacht, why not head over to the Official PlayStation Community forums, or get in touch with a member of the LKWD Community Team on PSN, to ask for a tour?

So we did the data transfer but after it completed (after 5 hours) all of the add ons for LBP and levels completed were not there. When we put LBP in the new PS3 it basically does not have any saved data. Acts like its a brand new game. Many tears out of my son becuase he has hundreds of add ons. Can any one help??

Coming in Fall 2011, this new core experience for PlayStation Home features a “hub and districts” design that will help you find games, people and places that fit your favorite game genres. The design features a new Hub that integrates games, quests, community events, and user-generated content, while providing you with additional navigation, shopping, socialization and entertainment options

If you image the install, or transfer will allow all copy protected materials to be transfered, but there is a limit in the EULA , If I recall it is 3 times.. :( which a rip for saved game like guitar hero, and the like.. So you can transfer 3 times, then I think you get 5 times to re-download bought content… I hate buying digital media. I like tangable things with no limits, and if there are, you crack them :D

I’ve yet to spend any money in any of the shops, but I’m finding that I’ve already unlocked a fair few things just by playing games that have included Home features. I’ve got a rather fetching Red Dead Redemption t-shirt and a pair of Motorstorm trousers for my avatar thanks to playing those games.

Home was developed by Sony Computer Entertainment's London Studio and first launched to the public in 2008. It offered a 3D virtual world to users with customizable avatars, mini-games and virtual homes that could be decorated with trophies and special items. In 2011 Sony revealed it had 19 million PlayStation Home users and that the average session spent in the service was 70 minutes. In 2011 there were 230 games within Home and over 8,000 virtual items in its marketplace.
Home can be quite a dull experience without a keyboard, but being able to interact with people without needing to type using the controller makes for a far more rewarding experience. The new districts should help improve that significantly (I hope)…You can read more about it on the Playstation Blog here
